About the RoleWe are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in painting and decorating. As a Master Painter and Decorator, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint and wallpaper, and ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard.
Responsibilities- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and repairing cracks and holes.
- Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces using a variety of techniques.
- Erect scaffolding and swing stages, and attach rigging as needed.
- Advise clients on colour choices and provide recommendations for wall coverings.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1-6 months of experience in painting and decorating, or equivalent experience.
- Possession of a valid bondable certificate.
This role requires working at various locations, including construction sites and private residences. You must be physically fit and able to lift up to 30 pounds. A high level of attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colours are essential.
CompensationThe estimated annual salary for this position is $55,000-$65,000, based on industry standards and location. This figure may vary depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
