About the Role:

VON Canada is seeking a skilled Continuing Care Assistant to join our team in Nova Scotia. As a CCA, you will provide personal care and support to clients in their homes, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as meal preparation and light household duties
  • Provide respite care and support to clients and their families
  • Monitor and maintain household safety, including fall prevention and emergency preparedness
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other support staff to ensure comprehensive care

Requirements:

  • Continuing Care Assistant Certification (CCA) or equivalent
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
