Job Title: Swamper - Truck Transport

B.C. Ltd. is seeking a skilled Swamper - Truck Transport to join our team. As a Swamper - Truck Transport, you will be responsible for transporting tools and equipment on push or hand cars, checking freight cars for physical damage and cleanliness, and assisting trucks and delivery drivers to load and unload vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport tools and equipment on push or hand cars
  • Check freight cars for physical damage and cleanliness
  • Assist trucks and delivery drivers to load and unload vehicles
  • Perform labouring duties in warehouses
  • Provide customer service
Security and Safety:
  • Criminal record check
Support for Persons with Disabilities:
  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports persons with disabilities
  • Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for persons with disabilities
  • Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities
  • Applies accessible and inclusive recruitment policies that accommodate persons with disabilities
Support for Newcomers and Refugees:
  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees
  • Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees

  • Does not require Canadian work experience
Support for Youth:

Support for Indigenous People:
  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people

  • Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations
