Job Summary:
We are seeking an exceptional academic leader to join our team as a Senior Lecturer P7/Associate Professor P6/Professor P5: Public/Business Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate modules, establishing a research programme in Public/Business Management, and growing a research community in the Faculty. The incumbent will also act as Head of Department: Management Sciences for a period of three years.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach and mentor students to achieve their full potential.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, students, and other stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in higher education.
- Make significant contributions to curriculum development and design of learning materials.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in teaching and learning.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have a relevant Doctorate and underpinning qualifications in Public Management/Business Management/Retail Business Management/ Supply Chain Management/ Entrepreneurship or cognate discipline. A minimum of three years' experience in a leadership position is required. In addition, the candidate should have at least eight years of relevant higher education experience and demonstrate evidence of continuous research output in the form of publications in DHET accredited journals and peer-reviewed conference proceedings.
