Child and Family Advocate

The Anishinabek Employment & Training Services is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of Child and Family Advocate. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Duties and Responsibilities- Provides support and advocacy to maintain family units and ensure satisfactory solutions to family problems.
- Liaises with related service agencies and explains the child and family service system.
- Maintains a strong knowledge of relevant strategies to safeguard the children who are members of Shawanaga First Nation and who are involved with agencies.
- Degree or Diploma in Social Work, Social Science or related field required.
- Native Child and Family Service Worker Diploma preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years' experience working in social services or related field in a First Nation.
