About the Role

Amico Affiliates is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a critical role in providing legal advice and support to our business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Management: Structuring, reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and enforcing contracts with clients, partners, and suppliers.
  • Project Support: Providing legal advice and support to project teams on commercial and contractual matters.
  • Training and Development: Developing and delivering training programs on contracts, commercial law, and project management.
  • Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating legal risks associated with business operations.
  • Communication: Communicating effectively with stakeholders, including project teams, clients, and suppliers.
Requirements
  • A current license to practice law in Ontario and membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
  • 8+ years of post-call experience at a well-respected law firm or in-house commercial legal department.
  • Superior written and oral communication and interpersonal skills in complex and adversarial situations.
  • Sound judgment and legal reasoning, excellent analytical skills, and creativity in solving problems.
