Job DescriptionAs an Occupational Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting occupational therapy assessments, program planning, interventions, discharge planning, and follow-up.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Providing clinical supervision and direction to students, aides, and volunteers.
- Staying updated on current occupational therapy developments through participation in educational programs and clinical research activities.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A Baccalaureate degree in Occupational Therapy and up to one year of experience in the designated area or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia and eligibility for membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, staff, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
- Knowledge of legislation and government policies and procedures related to healthcare.
