Job Description

As an Occupational Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting occupational therapy assessments, program planning, interventions, discharge planning, and follow-up.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Providing clinical supervision and direction to students, aides, and volunteers.
  • Staying updated on current occupational therapy developments through participation in educational programs and clinical research activities.
Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A Baccalaureate degree in Occupational Therapy and up to one year of experience in the designated area or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia and eligibility for membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, staff, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
  • Knowledge of legislation and government policies and procedures related to healthcare.
