Job Title: Combustion / Heating Technician - Journeyperson

Black & McDonald Limited is seeking a skilled Combustion Technician to join our team at our new location in Dieppe, New Brunswick. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, troubleshooting, and repairing various heating systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair gas and oil-fired equipment, as well as ventilation equipment, in accordance with manufacturer and company specifications.
  • Complete digital work orders, detailed reports, and daily digital time summaries to ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an HVAC/R service and maintenance position.
Work Experience Requirements:

Valid Class 5 driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain a valid Secret Security Clearance, as well as other site-specific clearances.

Skills and Abilities:
  • G1 Certification (liquid endorsement an asset)
  • Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Certification an asset
  • Knowledge of circulating pumps service and maintenance
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to read and work from HVAC, mechanical schematics, electrical schematics, line drawings, etc.
  • Knowledge in electronic, pneumatic, and DDC control systems an asset
  • Strong mechanical ability and problem-solving skills
