Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough dental assessments to identify patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with dentists to ensure seamless patient care and provide expert advice on oral health.
- Supervise dental assistants in their health care functions and provide guidance on best practices.
- Take accurate dental impressions and develop X-rays to support diagnosis and treatment.
- Provide patients with personalized oral hygiene instructions and educate them on the importance of good oral health.
- Perform restorative and orthodontic procedures under the direction of a dentist and design custom appliances as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and stored.
- Dental Hygienists Licensure by the appropriate provincial or territorial governing body.
- Membership with the Ordre des hygiénistes dentaires du Québec.
- Experience in a dental care setting is an asset.
