Job Title: Financial Accountant

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at Padgett Business Services. As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for managing balance sheets and profit/loss statements, planning and setting up accounting systems, and ensuring accuracy and compliance to accounting standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify clients' financial goals and objectives
  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
  • Plan, set up and administer accounting systems
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures and internal control
  • Prepare financial information for individuals, departments or companies
  • Prepare financial statements and reports
  • Recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices
  • Prepare income tax returns from accounting records
  • Analyze financial documents and reports
  • Examine accounting records
  • Provide financial, business and tax advice
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Prepare tax returns

Requirements:

  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in accounting
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Or equivalent experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
