About the Role:

A skilled Woodworking Specialist is needed to join Afrik-Naija Production Inc. team to work on various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in carpentry and woodworking, with the ability to read blueprints, prepare layouts, and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts in accordance with building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Survey building locations and levels
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking
  • Physically demanding job
  • Tight deadlines
