At Trillium Transportation Ltd., we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation fleet, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations, both domestically and internationally.

About the Job

This is a permanent position that requires a minimum of 50 to 60 hours of work per week. You will be working as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.

The ideal candidate will have a valid Class 1 or A driver's license and possess Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. Additionally, you should have experience with operating GPS and other navigation equipment, as well as possessing strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive trucks to transport goods and materials across various locations
  • Loading and unloading goods at designated points
  • Obtaining necessary permits and documents for international routes
  • Maintaining the condition of vehicles, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Paying and receiving payments for goods transported
  • Performing regular vehicle inspections and maintenance tasks
  • Relaying information to central dispatch and recording cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
