About Our Client

IFG International Financial Group Ltd is a reputable financial institution seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their Product Control team for an initial 6-month contract. This role presents an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong knowledge of equity derivatives, particularly swaps and options, who are looking to work in one of Canada's premier banks.

As a Senior Financial Analyst on the Product Control team, you will be responsible for providing daily reporting to front office traders. This position requires exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking skills. You will also support the front office with daily PnL Reporting, which involves calculation and verification of profit and loss.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calculation and verification of PnL
  • Reconciling daily positions
  • IPV reporting and valuation adjustments

Qualifications:

  • 2 to 5 years hands-on experience with CFA or FRM designation or in progress
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and VBA, Tableau, and Alteryx
  • Solid understanding of the Greeks and their effect on PnL
  • Cross-functional collaboration with treasury, accounting, front office, market risk, etc.
