Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

The Optometric Assistant will be responsible for accurately maintaining prescription records, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and easily accessible.

Preparing and Maintaining Equipment and Supplies

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and maintaining equipment and supplies, ensuring that all necessary items are available and in good working order.

Recording Information

The Optometric Assistant will record information about donors and vital signs, ensuring that all data is accurate and up-to-date.

Cleaning and Dressing Wounds

The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and dressing wounds, ensuring that all patients receive the highest level of care.

Organizing and Maintaining Inventory

The Optometric Assistant will be responsible for organizing and maintaining inventory, ensuring that all necessary supplies are available and easily accessible.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

7 months to less than 1 year

Work Environment

The Optometric Assistant will work in a fast-paced optometric clinic environment, interacting with patients and staff on a daily basis.

Language

The primary language spoken in the workplace is English.

Hours

The Optometric Assistant will work 30 to 40 hours per week.
