  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand
    • Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products
    • Provide professional customer service
    • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
    • Load and unload goods
    • Sort packages for delivery
    • Use maps and other trip planning aids
    • Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems
    • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Requirements:
    • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma
    • Experience: Experience an asset
    • Work Setting: Courier company
    • Transportation/Travel Experience: Local
    • Security and Safety: Criminal record check, bondable, driving record check (abstract), drug test, basic security clearance
    • Transportation/Travel Information: Vehicle supplied by employer
    • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, tight deadlines, physically demanding, handling heavy loads
    • Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
    • Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, cellular phone, gloves
