About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Worker, Building to join our team at Shaarei Zion Community Centre. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our building, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our staff, clients, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweeping and Cleaning: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and ensure that all waste is disposed of properly.
  • Window and Surface Cleaning: Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and tidy appearance.
  • Appliance Maintenance: Perform minor repairs on appliances to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to maintain a beautiful and welcoming outdoor space.
  • Bathroom Cleaning: Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Snow and Ice Removal: Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safe access to the building.
