Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned ASIC Design Engineer to join our team at European Tech Recruit. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for working on a variety of cutting-edge projects across various products in the semiconductor space.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Requirements Definition and Specification: Transform high-level requirements into meticulous specifications, ensuring clarity and precision.
  • RTL Logic Design and Verification: Execute RTL logic (predominantly Verilog or System Verilog), conduct block-level simulation, ASIC synthesis, DFT insertion, and ensure timing closure.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the verification team, design team, hardware team, and support team to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Lab Bring-up and Integration: Facilitate product integration, provide support, and ensure successful lab bring-up.
  • Technical Assistance and Support: Offer technical assistance to clients, guiding them through intricate technical challenges.
Key Qualifications:
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent skills/experience, with over 8 years of relevant experience in progressively senior roles.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in modern ASIC development, encompassing RTL logic design, synthesis, STA, lint, LEC, and proficiency in PnR.
  • Complexity Handling: Expertise in handling complex asynchronous clock boundaries and high-speed serial interfaces.
  • Lab Environment and Troubleshooting: Familiarity with lab environments, adept at troubleshooting issues up to the system level.
  • Additional Experience: Experience or familiarity with some of the following: Processor sub-systems (ARM, RISC-V), NOCs, GPUs, Display Interfaces, 10/25/40/100GbE, PCIe, AI Cores, Packet Processing, Routers/Switches.
  • Industry-standard Interfaces: Proficiency with industry-standard interfaces such as AHB, AXI, APB, AMBA, HDMI, DisplayPort, USB, Ethernet, PCIe, SPI, I2C, USB, GPIO, SRIO, DDR/SDRAM/DMA.
  • Test Verification and Scripting: Additional experience in test verification and scripting would be advantageous.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Demonstrated track record as a proactive self-starter, a collaborative team player, and an effective leader.
