Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welding Specialist to join our team at CANADIAN STUD WELDING & SUPPLY INC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and maintaining and performing minor repairs on welding equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret Welding Specifications: Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure accurate and efficient welding operations.
  • Operate Welding Equipment: Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal.
  • Maintain Equipment: Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Transportation and Travel: Public transportation is available for commuting to work.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with physically demanding tasks that require attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Possess flexibility, organization, and a strong work ethic to meet the demands of the role.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding or a related field.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in the workplace.
  • Hours: 35 hours per week.
