About the Role

The Métis Nation of Ontario is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief of Staff to support the Provincial Secretaries office. As a key member of the senior leadership team, the Chief of Staff will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the office, coordinating with the MNO administration, and driving strategic initiatives to achieve the organization's goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the activities and manage the day-to-day needs of the Provincial Secretaries to build an effective and accountable team.
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans in collaboration with the President and Provincial Secretaries.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of Chief of Staff or Leadership experience in an Indigenous or non-Indigenous government setting.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher certification in Public Service/Government Operations/Political Science.
  • Recent experience interacting with boards or councils at a senior leadership level.
  • Exceptional project coordination, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve conflicts and manage challenging situations.
  • Outstanding leadership skills with a focus on relationship-building.
  • Willing and able to travel with overnight stays in other provinces.
  • Bilingualism (considered an asset).
