About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Developer to join our team at Tangerine. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying high-quality mobile applications that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop native mobile applications for Android using Kotlin, Java, and other relevant technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop solutions that meet those needs.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code that is efficient, scalable, and secure.
  • Work closely with our design team to ensure that our applications are visually appealing and user-friendly.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure that our codebase is of the highest quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in mobile technology and apply that knowledge to improve our applications.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3+ years of experience in native mobile development.
  • Strong knowledge of Android platform, including Kotlin, Java, Dagger, and Android Studio.
  • Experience with architectural design patterns such as MVVM, MVC, and Clean Architecture.
  • Experience with unit-testing, code for robustness, security, usability, and improving performance of the overall application.
  • Familiarity with building mobile accessibility components to improve application usability.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
  • Strong command in Computer Science concepts, including SOLID principles.
  • Experience in integrating Third Party libraries and SDKs.
  • Experience building applications that consume web services and HTTP REST interaction with JSON.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Passionate about well-designed products and not afraid to collaborate with our design team to prototype, wireframe, and white-board ideas.
