Job Title: Substance Use Clinician, Masters MHSU

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Substance Use Clinician to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our Mental Health and Substance Use Services team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals and families affected by substance use disorders and mental illness.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will possess a Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Counselling Psychology or Social Work, and have a minimum of two years of experience working with clients and families affected by mental illness and substance use disorders. You will be responsible for providing assessment, treatment, and case management services to clients, as well as collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct initial screenings and assessments of clients to determine their needs and develop treatment plans.
  2. Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients, as well as case management and support services.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for clients.
  4. Provide education and support to clients and their families on mental health and substance use issues.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with community resources and services to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Counselling Psychology or Social Work.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with clients and families affected by mental illness and substance use disorders.
  • Eligible for registration with relevant professional associations.
  • Valid B.C. Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for work-related purposes.
