Nurse Specialist

About the Role
As a Registered Nurse in our Day Surgery and PACU team, you will be responsible for promoting health and assessing, providing care for, and treating health conditions through supportive, preventative, and therapeutic measures for adults and children during phase I and II recovery.
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced nurse who can work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care. You will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in PACU and acute care nursing within the past 5 years, as well as broad surgical experience in all subspecialties.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans
- Provide high-quality patient care during phase I and II recovery, including administering medications and monitoring vital signs
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and efficient use of resources
- Participate in educational programs and training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements
- Oncology College of Nurses registration or eligibility
- Current certification in BCLS, venipuncture, IV medication administration, PCA, and epidural analgesia
- Demonstrated computer skills in MS Outlook and Cerner applications (Powerchart and Surginet)
- Excellent assessment, communication, and leadership skills
- A commitment to continuous professional development and continuing education
