Job Summary:
Ozark CSCMP is seeking a highly skilled Shift Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our yard management team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods through our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of associates in a yard management operation, ensuring compliance with established safety and logistics procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of team members, providing coaching and guidance as needed.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Manage inventory and assets, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge to improve operations.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of transportation experience, with a focus on yard management or operations.
- 2 years of supervisory experience, with a proven track record of success.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Proficiency in SAP and other logistics software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
