Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at Oil City Ready Mix Ltd. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finishes on our concrete surfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and ensure it meets our quality standards.
  • Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools, including sanding and polishing.
  • Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures to ensure structural integrity.
  • Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces and protect them from the elements.
  • Waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces to their original condition.
  • Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures to maintain our high standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and precision in your work.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • You will be required to bend, crouch, and kneel frequently, as well as work in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Attention to detail is crucial in this role, as you will be working with high-quality materials and finishes.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Permanent employment with a competitive salary and benefits package.
  • English language proficiency.
  • Ability to work 30 to 40 hours per week.
