About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate to join our Cloud Accounting Services team in Oakville. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing full cycle bookkeeping services in a cloud-based environment, performing reconciliations, and preparing regular external filings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide full cycle bookkeeping services in a cloud-based environment
  • Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, journal entries, and handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare regular external filings, such as HST completion of routine account analysis and bookkeeping assignments following established procedures
  • Prepare month-end reporting packages, financial statements, and related information
  • Data entry; payroll processing, including input, validation, and testing
  • Identify payroll data discrepancies outside of the norm and work with management on corrective actions
  • Process government remittances and statutory and non-statutory deductions for each pay-period (EI, CPP, and EHT)
  • Communicate regularly with our clients, government agencies, and other staff members
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on, in-depth bookkeeping experience
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance is considered an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer programs (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • Experience using software such as QuickBooks Online or similar operating system is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
