We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiological Technologist to join our team as a Quality Control Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of image quality, equipment performance, and radiation safety in our Diagnostic Imaging department.
As a Quality Control Specialist, you will work closely with our Diagnostic Medical Physics team to develop and implement quality control protocols, conduct regular equipment checks, and provide training to staff and students on imaging quality control and radiation safety procedures.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A graduate degree in Radiological Technology from an accredited institution
- Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
- Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
- A minimum of 3 years of recent and relevant experience in a Diagnostic Imaging department
- Advanced knowledge of imaging quality control, digital imaging techniques, and radiation safety
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple tasks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with inter-professional teams
- Ability to comprehend technical language and use manuals and participate in relevant discussions
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
This is a permanent full-time position, with a 75-hour biweekly schedule. You will be required to work shift work, including evenings, nights, and weekends. The hourly rate for this position is $41.76.
