About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team at Peterbilt Moncton. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and ensuring the highest level of quality in all aspects of vehicle maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • Provide assistance to the service department for vehicles and equipment.
  • Observe, listen, and learn from experienced diesel technicians.
  • Follow checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined.
  • Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks as needed.
  • Test-drive vehicles to ensure they run smoothly.
  • Tag all warranty parts and returns to the warranty clerk.
  • Attend training classes and stay up-to-date on factory technical bulletins.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Team member with a passion for advancing their technical career.
  • Self-motivated and professional individual.
  • Strong customer service skills and experience.
  • Licensed or registered apprentice.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in the heavy-duty truck industry is preferred.
