Entuitive is seeking a Junior Structural Designer to join our structural engineering team in our Calgary office. Key Responsibilities
  • Design and detail structural elements, including calculations, computer modeling, and analysis.
  • Produce engineering drawings and contract documents in collaboration with our BIM technologists and other members of the engineering team.
  • Perform contract administrative duties such as shop drawing review, review of change orders, review of progress billings, answering RFI's, issuing Site Instructions and Structural Design Notices, attending site meetings, and field reviews.
  • CAD/BIM may be assigned as a portion of your job responsibility as required.
  • Implement and adhere to Entuitive's quality assurance programs to ensure that services meet Entuitive's standards and our client's expectations.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Entuitive.
Requirements
  • An engineering degree with a focus on civil and structural engineering.
  • Contract administration and site inspection experience is considered an asset.
  • A working knowledge and ability to use programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, and Excel, and structural analysis software (SAP2000, RAM, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work with people at all levels, including project stakeholders and clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and deliverables on an ongoing basis.
  • Knowledge and interest related to embodied carbon is considered an asset.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle on a regular basis.
