The West Edmonton Mall is seeking a highly skilled Pump Mechanic to join our facilities maintenance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mall's mechanical equipment.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and performing routine inspections on our pump systems, including centrifugal, end suction, split case, and vertical inline pumps ranging from 1hp to 250 hp.
  • Performing electric motor maintenance and alignment, as well as replacement inspections on various equipment.
  • Attending all required training courses and staying up-to-date with industry best practices.
  • Ensuring the cooling tower and reciprocating and screw air compressors are properly maintained.
  • Creating and implementing a regular preventative maintenance schedule for all related equipment.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience working on various rotating and stationary equipment.
  • A Millwright Journeyperson certificate is considered an asset.
  • Three to five years of experience working on various pumps and their related drivelines.
  • Initiative and the ability to work well with others and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Central HVAC fan maintenance experience is an asset.
  • The ability to work at heights and in varying climate conditions, with the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Physically able to walk long distances throughout the facility.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook email.
  • Required to provide own basic set of hand tools, with specialty tools provided by the company.
  • A valid Class 5 Driver's License and the ability to provide a 3-year driver's abstract.
  • Must be able to pass a security clearance.
