Procurement Director

We are seeking a seasoned procurement professional to join our team as a Procurement Director. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in the execution of strategic solar projects and contribute to the development of our procurement function.
Key Responsibilities- Lead market intelligence to identify opportunities for competitive advantage through partnerships with top-tier suppliers in the solar energy industry.
- Provide expert recommendations to internal stakeholders on the solar energy market, its development, risks, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with development and project management teams to prepare and optimize project schedules and budgets.
- Develop and manage commercial evaluations of vendors' proposals, working with a multi-disciplinary team.
- Negotiate commercial terms for major equipment and services purchases.
- Organize contract agreements negotiations with vendors and obtain approvals from administrative bodies.
- Oversee contract execution, equipment and services purchasing, and vendor support.
- Resolve issues and disagreements with vendors during project execution.
- Assist with procurement of components for other projects as needed.
- Contribute to the development of the procurement function by sharing ideas, feedback, and requirements.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in administration, engineering, or equivalent.
- At least 10 years of experience in an industrial company, preferably in energy or construction, with 5 years in procurement or supply-chain management or project management.
- Experience in leading contract negotiation and contract management of contracts with a value over $10 million.
- Experience in utility-scale solar project execution.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in multi-functional project implementation.
- Experience working in or with global international business.
- Strong project-management skills and experience.
- High proficiency in French is highly desired, and knowledge of Mandarin Chinese is an asset.
- Established professional network among solar industry players is an asset.
