About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Load Forecasting Advisor to join our Power Advisory & Asset Management (PAAM) group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering Load Forecasting projects, developing tools to account for Energy Transition trends, and performing end-to-end data analytics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Load Forecasting projects, focusing on the utility sector, including the development of tools that account for Energy Transition trends and triggers.
  • Be a key delivery member of load forecasting and asset analytics projects, with some responsibility to lead aspects of the project.
  • Develop models and tools to assist in the analysis of condition, forecasting, and investment scenarios.
  • Support asset condition, asset risk-based framework, and total cost of ownership projects.
  • Perform end-to-end data analytics, including data collection, transformation, analysis, and visualization.
  • Mentor junior staff and support the development of training materials and carries out formal and informal staff education, training, and mentorship sections.
  • Support Project Managers in the successful delivery of the projects, including leading elements of the projects when assigned by the project manager.
  • Contribute to the overall PAAM group strategic plan and key initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering, Economics, Data Science, Business, or similar post-secondary degree.
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in the development of load forecasts related to energy needs.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, programming (e.g., Python), and machine learning.
  • Project management experience is considered an asset.
  • Industry designation and/or continuous education are assets.
