Job Summary:

The Custodian - Property Maintenance Specialist is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of Onward Homes' properties, including common areas, units, and exterior spaces. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

- Clean and sanitize common areas, including floors, stairwells, and surfaces
- Assist with grounds keeping duties, including snow and ice removal, landscaping, and lawn care
- Clean and prepare vacant units for occupancy
- Maintain janitorial supplies and equipment
- Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Solid MS Office suite skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

- Direct experience working with vulnerable populations
- Experience working with a not-for-profit organization
- Yardi software skills

Working Environment:

The Custodian - Property Maintenance Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment with moderate to strenuous physical activity. The position may require lifting items weighing up to 20 kilograms and working on feet for long periods. The work environment may occasionally be stressful due to handling sensitive situations and meeting tight deadlines.
