Department Store Team Lead

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Department Store Supervisor to join our team at CT GROUP ENTERPRISES INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, assigning sales workers to duties, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales staff, including assigning duties and providing guidance and support as needed.
- Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for their training, to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Authorize payments by cheque and order merchandise as needed to maintain an adequate stock level.
- Establish work schedules and ensure that staff are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
- Resolve any issues that may arise, including customer complaints and supply shortages, in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct performance reviews to assess the performance of staff and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a supervisory role.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Ability to distinguish between colours and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Standing for extended periods and bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Work Environment:
- Permanent position.
- 40 hours per week.
- English language required.
