Equipment Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary:

This position plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance of plant floor equipment by troubleshooting, calibrating, and adjusting devices as needed. The successful candidate will be responsible for sorting calls and breakdowns, expediting their completion, and providing information to maintenance mechanics to resolve breakdown situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to internal customers and facility alarms and emergencies
  • Troubleshoot problems that arise and perform preventative maintenance
  • Collaborate with maintenance mechanics to resolve breakdown situations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or international equivalent in engineering (preferred)
  • College diploma or advanced diploma in Engineering will be considered
  • Programming experience, including troubleshooting, basic understanding of networks, motor control theory, and operation, including basic AC and DC electrical troubleshooting (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and elementary diagrams

Work Environment:

This role is based at our Caledon location, with a shift schedule of 10AM to 6:30PM, Sunday to Thursday. The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive hourly rate of $25.40.
