About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Memory Firmware Design Engineer to join our team at LanceSoft, Inc. as a key member of our Memory IO team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop firmware for high-speed memory interfaces, including DDR PHY and DRAM Training steps.
  • Develop firmware for DDR PHY for ATE Testing, IP Char, and SoC Power.
  • Perform pre-silicon FW coding and simulation against Architectural and RTL models.
  • Optimize post-silicon lab bring-up and DDR Init and Run Time FW.
  • Enhance post-silicon DDR Training to enable robust links for higher reliability and frequency margin.
  • Collaborate with SoC/Product firmware teams to define features and specs.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a firmware engineer.
  • Excellent knowledge of C, C++, and scripting languages, with Verilog and Python being a plus.
  • Ability to adapt to new toolsets and frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of synchronization techniques, including handshakes and message passing.
  • Post-silicon experience developing firmware on real hardware is required, with experience in SERDES, DDR, Memory Controller, or MAC Design being preferred.
  • Strong understanding of computer organization and architecture.
  • Laboratory experience, including the use of equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
  • Experience with low-level, physical phenomena-oriented logic design is an asset.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is strongly desired, with a Master's or PhD degree being a plus.
