Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Laborer to join our team at Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope. As a Laborer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with lead-hand, coworkers, and supervisors to achieve team goals and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all equipment is in safe operating condition to prevent accidents and downtime.
  • Manual Lifting: Safely unload glass and perform manual lifting tasks as required.
  • Quality Control: Measure glass for accuracy and quality, rejecting any incorrect items and advising operators to maintain quality standards.
  • Glass Handling: Adhere tags to completed glass and place on distribution dollies based on tag location requirements.
  • Load Management: Select the appropriate tagged glass and load onto dollies by size and dimension to ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed.
  • Quality Separation: Use appropriate glass separators for glass type to maintain quality control.
  • Multi-Tasking: Perform multiple tasks in the department and cross-train in different functions to meet business needs.
  • Communication: Communicate dolly completion and move throughout the plant as required.
  • Housekeeping: Responsible for proper disposal of broken glass and general housekeeping within the department.
