Job Title: Principal Mobile App Engineer

At Reddit, we're building a platform that enables users to share, vote, and comment on topics they care about. As a Principal Mobile App Engineer, you'll play a key role in shaping the technical strategy for our native app codebase.

About the Role

We're looking for a seasoned engineer with deep expertise in Swift or Kotlin to lead our mobile app development efforts. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to execute on product and business strategy, building novel products and features that our users will love.

Responsibilities
  • Drive technical excellence and innovation in our native app codebase
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering counterparts to execute on product and business strategy
  • Contribute to the full development cycle, from technical design to launch
  • Set and define standards that improve developer workflows and recommend best practices
  • Mentor senior engineers and help coach and mentor engineers on the team
Requirements
  • Deep technical expertise with Swift or Kotlin
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and keep projects on schedule
  • BS degree in Computer Science or similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience with organizational-wide impact building consumer-facing applications at scale
