About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and physically fit individual to join our team as a Construction Assistant at Gill HS Renovations and Construction Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Operations: Assist in the loading, unloading, and transportation of construction materials to and from various locations.
  • Material Handling: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as required.
  • Site Maintenance: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, while ensuring a safe and clean working environment.
  • Earthwork: Level earth to fine grade specifications and pave and rake asphalt as needed.
  • Waste Management: Clean and pile salvaged materials, and remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • Site Safety: Direct traffic at or near construction sites and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to handle heavy loads and work in various locations, including outdoors and in noisy environments.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Personal Qualities: Dependability, reliability, and a team player attitude.
  • Training: Willingness to train and learn new skills.
