About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Room Attendant to join our team at Sudbury Retirement Manor. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our residents' rooms and common areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, make beds, and change sheets.
  • Guest Services: Distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closets, handle and report lost and found items, and attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items.
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, and launder clothing and household linens.
  • Communication: Provide basic information on facilities, address customers' complaints or concerns, and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
Work Environment

As a Housekeeping Room Attendant, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, and working under pressure. You will be required to stand for extended periods, walk, and bend, crouch, or kneel. Overtime may be required.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week.
