Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Career Development Professional to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical role in supporting clients in achieving their career aspirations. Your expertise and passion for career development will enable you to make a real difference in the lives of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interview clients to obtain employment history, educational background, and career goals, and prepare case histories and assess problems.
  • Identify barriers to employment and assist clients with matters such as job readiness skills, job search strategies, writing resumes, and preparing for job interviews.
  • Perform administrative tasks and provide consulting services to community groups and agencies, businesses, industry, and other organizations involved in providing community-based career planning support or resources.
  • Screen job applicants, advertise vacancies, and liaise with community agencies or partners, and identify additional or alternative services and provide referrals.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions

This is an on-the-road position, requiring frequent travel throughout the region. The successful candidate must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer excellent benefits, including health and dental coverage, pension plan, and paid vacation time.
