Waste Connections US, Inc is seeking a skilled Diesel Fleet Mechanic to join our team in Vancouver, Washington.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Diesel Fleet Mechanic to work on our truck fleet. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair, hydraulic systems, and brake systems.
Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and brake systems on our fleet of trucks.
- Inspect equipment and trucks for condition, operations, and parts and fluid levels.
- Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
- Complete required paperwork using fleet maintenance software.
- Review and complete repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
- Valid Class A or B CDL with air brakes endorsement.
- CDL permit within.
- CDL license within.
- Ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks.
- Extensive physical activity, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 50 pounds.
