Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement flexible CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket Pipelines
  • Enhance web application performance while establishing reliable monitoring and alerting mechanisms using an observability platform
  • Champion a security mindset by keeping software up to date and administering security monitoring and auditing tools
  • Implement testing and deployment stages to ensure quality and fast feedback
  • Maintain development, staging, and production environments
  • Troubleshoot issues with development teams to resolve them quickly
  • Collaborate with the development and architect teams to improve the overall software development lifecycle and pipeline implementations
  • Coach your peers on the development teams in all phases of the project life cycle

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of IT engineering in a mix of infrastructure and development roles
  • 4+ years of experience in a DevOps role
  • Strong experience with DevOps lifecycle, CI/CD integrations and workflows
  • Strong scripting and automation skills
  • Experience integrating 3rd party tools into the CI/CD such as Code quality and security scanning, Unit testing, Performance testing and Visual automation
  • Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud platforms and infrastructure management tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Experience with Serverless Framework or SST on AWS
  • In-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle and ability to communicate project and operation status, issues, risks and resolutions in an agile development methodology
  • Experience introducing/integrating automation concepts into physical devices such as a payment terminal, Point of Sale hardware (Windows based), IoT devices, network devices (such as Meraki)
  • Knowledge of Event driven architecture
  • Knowledge of Micro Services concepts and architecture
  • Exceptional communication, problem solving, and documentation skills
  • Proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
  • Highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • Able to balance autonomy and collaboration
  • Inspires breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
  • Passion for getting outside and living it
