Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our Long Term Care team at Spencer House Community. As a Personal Support Worker, you will form deep relationships with residents and their families, providing a variety of support options and program choices that enrich their daily health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Provide resident supervision and assistance with activities of daily living, including eating, dressing, hygiene, and grooming.
- Provide resident care and services, including communication support, medication administration, and mobility assistance.
- Support resident comfort and well-being through ongoing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support, as well as oral and dental care.
- Completed a Personal Support Worker program from an approved college or private institution or an Internationally Educated Nurse with a degree in Nursing.
- Detailed-oriented and proficient in procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatment and providing bedside care.
- Exercise tact and diplomacy in working with seniors, their families, and general visitors.
