Nutrition Assistant

Job Summary
The University Health Network is seeking a skilled Nutrition Aide to join our team. As a Nutrition Aide, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support in our Nutrition Services department.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and deliver meal trays to patients, ensuring timely and accurate service.
- Retrieve, stock, and set up food items and supplies at workstations, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Disassemble, clean, and maintain workstations and tray assembly areas, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Prepare snacks and assist with food preparation as needed.
- Wash and clean equipment, utensils, and work areas, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Perform cross-functional duties as assigned and/or required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent education.
- Good manual dexterity and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- 6 months of practical and related experience.
- Food Service Worker Certificate preferred.
- Food Handlers Certificate preferred.
- Ability to read and understand short notes, brief forms, and memos.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 10 kg.
