Sobeys Inc., a leading Canadian employer, is seeking a skilled Cyber Security Specialist to join our team. As a Cyber Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing comprehensive security architectures, frameworks, and solutions tailored to the organization's needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement security architectures, frameworks, and solutions to protect Sobeys' IT assets.
  • Conduct threat risk assessments for technology-related implementations and identify potential security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks.
  • Contribute to the review of internal processes and activities to identify opportunities for improvement and document technology-related risks in the IT risk register.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, IT, and enterprise architects, to ensure effective security measures are in place.
  • Develop comprehensive threat models to understand and anticipate potential attack vectors and conduct security assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of existing security measures.
Requirements:
  • 2-4 years of experience in threat risk management and/or cyber project management in an information technology procurement function.
  • Experience working in a global IT service environment with vendor relationship/portfolio management experience.
  • Understanding of network security architecture, wireless security, and application security.
  • Azure, GCP, and AWS services knowledge would be an asset.
  • Experience with threat modeling tools or OWASP Top 10 would be an asset.
  • Working knowledge of risk management standards and frameworks (NIST, ISO, COSO, etc.).
  • Hold a professional certification (CRISC, CIA, CISA, CISM, etc.).
  • Excellent knowledge of IT controls, IT security, and strong knowledge of ISO 27001/27002, NIST, CSF, and ITIL frameworks.
