Job Summary

Farm Boy is seeking a skilled Warehouse Worker to join our team. As a key member of our distribution center, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient preparation and distribution of products to our retail stores.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assemble orders for delivery with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ensure all orders have proper documentation and are stacked in the proper order to facilitate smooth delivery.
  • Administer the receiving system, utilizing provided resources and equipment to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Receive, load, and unload products in accordance with established Farm Boy guidelines, reporting any quality issues to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Rotate products to maintain quality and freshness, adhering to established protocols.
  • Maintain the receiving area, cooler, and storage facilities in a safe, clean, and organized manner.
  • Dispose of collected garbage immediately to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Treat suppliers and drivers with respect and fairness, providing excellent customer service.
  • Perform forklift and janitorial duties as required, contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.

Requirements:

  • Typically requires up to 6 months of experience in a related industry, with working knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and working knowledge of receiving and cooler facilities and equipment.
  • Ability to work from directives with minimal supervision, demonstrating independence and initiative.
  • Excellent physical fitness, with the ability to lift, carry, or handle heavy objects.
  • Strong orientation towards customer service and team participation, with a focus on delivering exceptional results.
  • Flexibility in regards to availability and scheduling, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Fluency in both official languages is considered an asset.

Work Environment:

  • Unavoidable exposure to potentially hazardous environmental elements, including noise, dirt, dust, vibration, and changing temperatures.
  • Lack of control over work pace due to multiple and/or tight deadlines beyond one's control.
  • Required to wear protective clothing or equipment during shifts, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
