Role Summary:

Lifemark is seeking a highly skilled Movement Specialist to join our team in Mill Cove. As a key member of our physiotherapy clinic, you will work collaboratively with clients, employers, and healthcare professionals to provide expert movement assessments and develop personalized rehabilitation plans.

About the Role:

This permanent full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated and empathetic individual to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others. As a Movement Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments to identify areas of improvement and create tailored programs to enhance client mobility and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop targeted rehabilitation plans
  • Design and implement graded exercise, work conditioning, and work hardening programs to promote optimal recovery and return-to-work outcomes
  • Collaborate with inter-professional teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication
  • Provide regular education and support to clients to empower them in their recovery journey
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a University Kinesiology program or related field
  • 1+ years of experience treating clients in an outpatient setting (new graduates encouraged to apply)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with others
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with industry best practices
