Key Accountabilities

  1. Obtain and review required documentation, prioritizing anti-money laundering (AML) and anti-terrorist financing (ATF) requirements, including income and down payment verification, and client interviews. Ensure documentation adheres to corporate guidelines and address concerns surrounding suspected misrepresentation when necessary. (35%)
  2. Verify that mortgage files comply with the Company's established lending policies and procedures, and ensure legal, AML, and ATF requirements are met. (35%)
  3. Manage deal flow efficiently, meeting prescribed deadlines, and utilize reports to track and manage the flow of deals funding for the team. (15%)
  4. Communicate effectively with internal and external contacts to ensure timely and efficient transaction processing, providing exceptional customer service and addressing mortgage broker and client inquiries. (10%)
  5. Monitor changes to deals, update files as required, and send correspondence to relevant parties, addressing Quality Assurance requirements and Compliance review queries in a timely and accurate manner. (5%)

About You

  1. Post-secondary degree in a financial field
  2. 1-2 years' mortgage experience in the alternative mortgage market
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and handle competing priorities
  4. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  5. Ability to grasp AML & ATF practices and comprehend mortgage funding and quality assurance processes
  6. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Word and Excel
  7. Ability to provide superb customer service and communicate effectively in a high-volume, high-intensity environment
