Job Title: Culinary Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House. As a Culinary Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, inspecting kitchens and food service areas, and training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas
• Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
• Clean kitchen and work areas
• Manage kitchen operations

Requirements:

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
• Or equivalent experience

Work Setting: Restaurant

• Standing for extended periods

Support for Newcomers and Refugees:

• Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees
• Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster
• Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition

Work Term: Permanent

Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
