About the Role

Canadian Blood Services is seeking a Regular part-time Donor Services Representative to join our dynamic Donor Centre team.

The Donor Centre team plays a vital role in supporting Canadian Blood Services by collecting donor blood in a safe and efficient manner. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service by greeting donors, confirming appointments, rebooking donors at events, and serving potential donors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to donors, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
  • Confirm appointments and rebook donors as needed to ensure a smooth and efficient donation process.
  • Work collaboratively with the Donor Centre team to achieve daily and weekly goals.
  • Ensure the workstation is ready and working properly to support the donor centre, including setting up the computer and printer, printing appointment schedules, and updating the booking system online.
Requirements
  • Completion of high school.
  • One year of experience in a customer service-oriented environment or previous experience working with volunteers would be considered an asset.
  • Technical skills including Microsoft Word and Outlook, and the ability to learn new systems and programs.
  • Physical requirements for the role include the ability to lift weights up to 10 kg (22 lbs.).

Work Environment

This is a float line role, working across various locations, including the Lower Mainland Mobiles, Surrey fixed site, Oak St, and Downtown fixed sites. Work hours vary, including stat holidays. Rest days are Sunday/Monday or Monday/Tuesday, etc.

Travel will be required for mobile events in our communities, and transportation will be provided by Canadian Blood Services.
